Even though love stories do not always end happily ever after, they can sometimes lead down a path of shared responsibility, growth, and understanding that is even more lovely. When everyone thought Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’ custody dispute would never be resolved, the ex-couple recently shocked everyone by coming to a mutual agreement.

In 2020, after Wilde and Sudeikis’ split became widely publicized, unexpected headlines resulted. Many people were understandably shocked when the parents of the two announced their separation since they had been a well-known and long-lasting celebrity couple since 2011.

Jason Sudeikis And Olivia Wilde Reached A Custody Agreement

New court documents obtained by the Daily Mail suggest that Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have resolved their contentious custody dispute. According to reports, the Ted Lasso actor has consented to pay his ex $27,500 per month in child support for their two children.

This settlement, which came nearly two years after the ex-couple’s initial legal dispute, is reportedly based on Sudeikis’ and Wilde’s projected 2023 incomes of $10.5 million and $500,000, respectively.

According to the court documents (via Daily Mail):

“The parties agree that child support for the minor children in the amount of $27,500 per month is sufficient to maintain the needs of the minor children considering Jason’s station in life … is consistent with each child’s best interest, and application of the guideline would be unjust or inappropriate in this case.”

The Don’t Worry Darling director received infamous legal custody papers while speaking on stage at CinemaCon in April 2022, which caused the custody dispute between Sudeikis, 48, and Wilde, 39, to take a drastic turn. Page Six was informed at the time by a source that Wilde was modified:

“It seemed unthinkable to her, and it took a moment to set in, but as mortifying as it was, she did not want to give a reaction.”

Having received papers for a custody petition from her ex, Jason Sudeikis, at CinemaCon in 2022, Olivia Wilde has formally filed to have it dismissed. The 38-year-old actress and director allegedly stated in court documents obtained by the Daily Mail that Sudeikis “embarrass(ed) me professionally” when she got the papers on stage at the Las Vegas event.

“Jason’s actions were clearly intended to threaten me and catch me off guard. He could have served me discreetly, but instead he chose to serve me in the most aggressive manner possible.”

The actress, who shares two kids with her ex-fiance, further added:

“The fact that Jason would embarrass me professionally and put our personal conflict on public display in this manner is extremely contrary to our children’s best interests. Since Jason has made it clear that we will not be able to work this out for our children’s sake outside of the court system, I filed a petition for custody in Los Angeles.”

Alleged rumors that Wilde had cheated on Sudeikis with Harry Styles circulated while she was working on her second full-length feature directorial effort, Don’t Worry Darling, in 2020. The film starred the As It Was singer as the male lead.

Wilde, however, refuted the accuracy of those rumors as she informed Vanity Fair last year:

“The complete horseshit idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry. Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic.”

Well, now let us hope that their kids will benefit from their recent custody agreement.
