Overwatch 2 came too late. When the Blizzard IP launched more than 7 years ago, it took the world by surprise. However, due to several poor choices, the title’s success faltered, almost to the point where there were no active players left. Even with this failure, Blizzard keeps launching content and adding characters to the game.

NetEase used this formula and added Marvel characters, and as a result, Marvel Rivals was born, with almost the same mechanics and gameplay but in the world of these superheroes. This new game could have some kind of success.

The original Overwatch was launched in 2016 after many months of being in an early-access closed state. The fandom grew quickly and really wanted to know about all these amazing characters. The players left the game, and the train passed. Overwatch 2 is active, but with a very small player count. A new competition with this game has just been introduced, Marvel Rivals, that could bring back players to the MOBA genre.

Marvel Rivals has launched its first trailer, introducing the mechanics and features almost similar to Overwatch 2. This has some players very happy with the idea and eager to play this new upcoming Marvel game.

Different from Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals characters will interact with each other and even make combo attacks in duo. There will be some changes, but the teams will battle in 6 vs. 6 teams. There are apparently several characters available when the game launches. NetEase has not confirmed an open beta or release date.

Popular voice actors that already worked on the same characters as Yuri Lowenthal, the voice behind Marvel’s Spider-Man games, specifically Peter Parker. I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
