Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Almost Got Crushed On The Set Of Bad Boys 2

Smith continued the narrative by saying he was driving the car and wanted it to look real. “I get it up to about 120, 130, and I’m punching it, and we hit the top of the causeway, and we get a little bit airborne, but the camera rig is on the side so it’s coming down on an angle,” he stated.

The actor said he almost slammed into other cars, and he was only about 20 yards away from them when he was able to hit the brake. Lawrence quipped, “And I’m on the passenger side, and that’s when I knew I needed a diaper.”

Somewhere in the interview, Lawrence said he originally wanted to work with Eddie Murphy, but he could not afford to get the actor on the project. His sister suggested taking Smith, and the rest is history. “It’s the best move I ever made. I got to tell you this dude is awesome,” added Lawrence.

Will Smith Tore His Heel On Bad Boys 4

Will Smith revealed in an interview with Variety that he suffered an injury while shooting Bad Boys: Ride or Die. If he managed to escape the accident the first time, he failed to do so here.

We had all these big giant stunts and stuff, but there was a jump rope scene, and I had one jump rope — not even two times around, one time around — and on the first one, I got a tear in my heel. I was like, ‘We just had all these action scenes, and I tore my heel doing one jump rope!’

Torn heel is never fun, and even though it wasn’t as grave as other injuries, the pain and discomfort would prevent Smith from doing the rest of his stunts. After all the dangerous choreographs he performed on set, it was this nuisance that brought a delay in the production.

It seems everything is now all good as Smith and Lawrence recently showed up at the premiere event of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which is now showing in theaters worldwide.
