The 26th film of the franchise, Kurogane no Submarine, sold around 580 thousand tickets on its first day, with an approximate sale of $6.35 million. The movie earned more than 10 billion yen or $64 million overall and became the highest-earning movie of the franchise. Thus, hopes for the latest movie are also sky-high, and so far, it has been performing according to expectations.

The Million-Dollar Pentagram is the first movie in the franchise to have midnight screenings and is available in 515 theaters across Japan, another record for Detective Conan. The achievements have impressed the voice cast of the movie.

The record for the highest opening day collection is still held by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train, which collected 1.2 billion yen or $7.77 million.
