The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is a film that a lot of fans have been clamouring for in the wake of Andrew Garfield’s return as Peter Parker for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Being the only Spider-Man without having a completed trilogy, fans are expecting Garfield’s Peter Parker to have one more run as the web-slinger, before the character’s supposed return to the MCU for Avengers: Secret Wars

While there are multiple ways in which this film could go, one fan theory suggests how a post-No Way Home Spider-Man might function in The Amazing Spider-Man universe, making good on all that was established in the No Way Home, while also resolving issues that were a part of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, there were a number of moments that got fans of all three iterations of Spider-Man hyped. For starters, there was the scene where McGuire’s, Garfield’s and Holland’s versions of the character swung into action together against their enemies. However, there were other moments of fan service that tugged at the heartstrings of the audiences, including a scene where MJ and Garfield’s Peter Parker shared an emotional moment.

Finding himself in a similar situation as he did with Gwen Stacy, Garfield’s Parker saves Zendaya’s MJ from falling to her death, giving the character some much-needed closure after the death of Gwen Stacy, the love that he was unable to save.

Now, the theory states that since Andrew has already met an MJ in the MCU, his interaction with an MJ of his own universe could be coloured with rose-tinted glasses. Given the closure he had with the character of Michelle Jones, Peter might finally be able to move on from the death of Gwen Stacy and take a second shot at love.

So far, apart from Venom, Sony’s Universe of Spider-Man character has been struggling a lot. The thesis of the franchise is that you can have a universe of characters that are connected by Spider-Man without a Spider-Man seems to be falling apart. However, all this might change with Madame Web, as the alleged plot of the story is with regards to keeping an unborn Peter Parker safe, which may finally give the Sony-Verse a mainline Spider-Man for its live-action endeavours.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would be the perfect way to tie the universe Sony is setting up together, allowing for an expanded universe for a fan-favourite Spider-Man to play around in, while also providing fans of the character with a familiar cast to root for and see interact with each other. This will also allow Andrew Garfield to finish his trilogy, something that fans have been clamouring for for a while.
