Wolverine is one of the most lethal superheroes in the Marvel comics and movies. Known for his ferocity, healing powers that can withstand a nuclear bomb, and his indestructible adamantium skeleton, Logan is definitely a force to be reckoned with for a lot of Marvel characters.
However, the mutant had more than just a hard time when Marvel decided to create a crossover between the Wolverine and the Predator. Covered in several issues, Wolverine had it rough and almost died on several occasions. Yet one issue, in particular, was so hauntingly terrifying for the mutant that even fans were shocked to see Wolverine’s pain tolerance.
When the Predator Nearly Killed Wolverine in an Epic Crossover
Wolverine is a one-man army and is one of the best at what he does. One of Marvel’s strongest characters, Logan is a formidable adversary for several Marvel antagonists and protagonists. However, in Predator vs Wolverine #3, the mutant faced a formidable adversary while trying to escape the relentless pursuit of the Yautja, resulting in one of his most grueling and dangerous fights.
Wolverine has faced several enemies, yet the Yautja has proved to be the fiercest of his enemies till now. After nearly losing his life in earlier issues, this issue focuses on the Predator coming to the Earth to find the greatest prey in existence.
Already having fought twice and nearly dying, the claw-clad mutant is tracked by the Predator to the Weapon X facility. Finding him unconscious, the hunter tears apart his skin and finds his adamantium skeleton. Just then Wolverine wakes up and attacks him only for the Yautja to spray acid on his face, making Logan’s face melt completely.
The hunter then carries back the body of Logan to add to his collection and soon is chased by the Weapon X jets as he scrambles to get his ship out of orbit. Meanwhile, Logan regains consciousness and somehow ends up jumping, and his body is then recovered by Weapon X.
Fans React to Wolverine and Predator’s Epic Crossover
After recovering, Wolverine gets another go at the Predator. After an epic fight, the mutant emerges victorious and finally gets his revenge on the Yujyta who has been brutally chasing him for centuries. While Wolverine finally wins in the next and final issue by Benjamin Percy, Ken Lashley, Kei Zama, and Gavin Guidry, the events of the comics were still too much for fans to take in.
