Ubisoft’s upcoming survival action-shooter title, Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, has received some good news after a long time as the game has been rated in Taiwan, revealing that the launch might be sooner than expected. The game has been delayed multiple times, and Ubisoft has kept details about the game close to the chest, but this seems like concrete evidence that players might get Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland in early 2024.
New Ratings Suggest Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland Could Be Released Real Soon
Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland was announced back in May 2021 and was initially planned to launch in late 2021 or early 2022, but the game was delayed multiple times, and Ubisoft did not provide any specific release window. The new information reveals that the game could be released soon, as it has been rated in Taiwan on November 14, 2023.
The game is rated on the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information website, but the game’s ratings page has been archived now. The rating for the game is PG-15, mainly because it includes violence, inappropriate language, and anti-society in the plots and gameplay. The game will be launching for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland also received its ESRB rating last year before it suffered a delay, but Ubisoft did reveal a cinematic trailer and gameplay earlier this year. The game was rated M for the presence of intense violence and strong language. The game has received a rating in Taiwan nearly a year after the ESRB rating in NA. Ubisoft might announce the release date soon.
A leaker, Kurakasis, also posted on X, formerly Twitter, that games receive a rating in Taiwan “approximately” two to two and a half months before the planned release date or soft launch and beta test for online games, and the game might be coming out in early 2024. However, nothing can be said for certain until Ubisoft officially confirms when the game is coming out.
Since the game is still to receive an official launch date, there are also several PC tests expected in the future, as per the game’s page on the Ubisoft website. This means that the game could be released in early access, but this is mere speculation as of now.
Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is a spin-off of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy franchise in The Division universe. The game is set in the mysterious American Midwest town of Silver Creek after the events of the first game. The description of the game on the official Ubisoft website reads:
What’s happening in Silver Creek? Uncover the mystery before a new breed of poison spreads everywhere. Follow the expanding story to discover why this once peaceful town has become the center of a violent conflict between a group of dangerous rogue Division agents and an aggressive band of nomadic survivors. But the AI factions and other player squads aren’t the only danger…
There is not much known about the game. The Division Heartland will feature two different game modes upon launch: a PvPvE mode where up to 45 players can participate and a PvE mode where players will be able to collect gear or loot by completing tasks assigned to them.
The game will have more survival elements than the previous entries in the franchise. There will be much harder areas to explore, and players will obtain better loot in return. Additionally, the game will also feature a day/night cycle, and players will be more vigilant as they patrol the streets of the town.
There are also rumors that the game will feature character customization features, but it has not been confirmed so far. The Division Heartland will expand everything seen in the previous games of the series. Ubisoft has also announced that The Division 3 is in early development, so there is so much more for players to get excited about in the franchise.
