The Game Awards 2023 had a spectacular lineup of games that were nominated for various categories. The ones that won an award have been the center of many conversations, and Steam has a sweet number of discounts on some of these games.

Some of the titles mentioned even have up to 50% off, and these games range from action/adventure RPGs to puzzles and hand-to-hand combat. If you’re a PC gamer and haven’t tried them yet, this is a great chance to play some of the best games to come out in 2023.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Sea of Stars Are Two Massive RPGs to Try Out.

The Game Awards cyberpunk
Cyberpunk 2077 has the biggest sale at the time of writing.

The massive project by CDPR earned the Best Ongoing award during The Game Awards. The base version of Cyberpunk 2077 is now at a hefty 50% off and gives you access to the gorgeous Night City and almost everything it has to offer.

We say ‘almost’ because the Ultimate Edition of the game (43% off) offers even more; the Phantom Liberty expansion pack that introduces a brand new story featuring Idris Elba. If you’re looking to purchase just the expansion, it’s on a 14% discount at the time of writing.

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is immersive and engaging, to say the least. You’ll likely be so distracted by side quests, NPC interactions, driving around, and exploring Night City’s lovely landscapes, the main quests will take their own time to complete.

In fact, there’s high replayability here since your choice of character affects relationships, dialogue options change consequences, and life paths play a passive role in how the world shapes up to you.

Speaking of engaging RPGs, Sea of Stars took the gaming community by surprise this year and won the much-deserving Best Indie Game award at The Game Awards. If you’ve played the game, you won’t be surprised. And, if you haven’t, you’re in for a nostalgic journey that blends your favorite RPG titles from the SNES era into one modern pixel package.

The game is now at a 10% discount. The devs have clearly actualized their vision into creating Sea of Stars, as fans of pixel-RPGs will quickly see the likeness of Chrono Trigger games. The top-down view of a beautiful world surrounded by magic and charisma is likely to keep you engaged for hours.

You can play as either of two main characters, equipped with unique powers of the Moon and the Sun. The writing is inspired, the dialogues are engaging, the personalities are cute and humorous, and the turn-based combat is meticulously crafted.

What Other The Game Awards 2023 Winners Are Discounted?

Hi-Fi Rush game
Hi-Fi Rush is a spectacular adventure that uniquely blends audio and game design elements.

There are three other major titles that are discounted on Steam at the moment. These games have won different awards at The Game Awards. Let’s start the list with a game that will tug at your heartstrings if you were ever a fan of games like LIMBO and INSIDE. The Best Debut Indie Game winner COCOON (20% off) is a title that comes from the same lead designer; Jeppe Carlsen.

The game revolves around worlds that exist within a single orb. You carry this orb on your back and leap between worlds as the game’s narrative shapes itself around the puzzle-adventure genre. It’s a unique take on game mechanics seldom seen before.

The next one on the list is the winner of the Best Fighting Game award; Street Fighter 6 (34% off). The 6th entry to the globally recognized fighting game is a massive taking by Capcom and features returning fighters as well as new faces. The roster is highly versatile, with characters showing off personalities and moves unique to the player’s experience.

Finally, one of the earliest games to come out this year took the music/gaming community by surprise at The Game Awards. Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush (25% off) won the award for Best Audio Design.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most intricately designed rhythm-and-combat games where the world beats in synch with your in-game moves and combos. If you’re a fan of rhythm games with a knack for witty storytelling and action/arcade adventures, this one’s for you.
