Punk Rocket turned out to be a formidable foe at the start when the sonic waves from his electronic guitar proved devastating for the heroes. However, when he revealed a wall of stereo speakers that were hidden beneath the curtain, Beast Boy devised a clever plan and encouraged Punk Rocket to keep cranking up the volume.

Ultimately, the speakers could not handle the amplification and blew up. As a result, Punk Rocket’s electric guitar also had a short circuit. Although the episode did not show any sign of continuity with the rest of the series, Teen Titans Wiki reports that it is set after the events of Season 3 Episode 10 Can I Keep Him?”.

James Gunn promises several intriguing additions to raise his DCU to the standards set by important cinematic universes. Although he hasn’t introduced the full slate of the first chapter of his DCU, the live-action Teen Titans movie announcement has amassed widespread attention from several fans.

Following their popularity in the comics, the teen superhero group has even attracted a wider fandom with the animated shows. Both Teen Titans and its quirky comedic spin-off Teen Titans Go! played important roles in increasing its fan base. They are very different from the traditional Justice League and can present us with a breath of fresh air in the DCU.

Unlike the Justice League, this superhero group also has its fair share of teen problems besides all the world-saving activities. James Gunn’s previous experience with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy also ensures that he may be one of the best people to work on the project. With its popularity, a well-made Teen Titans film will excite the fans more than a Young Avengers project.

However, we still have a long way to go and it will be interesting to find how James Gunn and Peter Safran’s company carries out the casting. James Gunn’s Superman, starring Kevin Corenswet, will be released on July 11, 2025, and is set to be the first film of DCU.
