Kevin Spacey, who used to be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, found his name embroiled in several controversies. He has been repeatedly accused of s*xual misconduct by several men.
Even though he was cleared of almost all charges (via CNN), it led him to be fired from his critically acclaimed House of Cards series. Now the actor has hit the headlines once again after Lord of the Rings star Peter Mullan called him out for his extremely narcissistic behavior.
Peter Mullan has played roles in several notable projects like Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 1, and Westworld. Mullan and Kevin Spacey starred together in 2000’s Ordinary Decent Criminal. The actor shared that it was one of his worst experiences as the Superman Returns actor’s narcissism went out of hand during the filming.

Recently while speaking to the audience at the Series Mania (via Deadline) Peter Mullan, who played Durin III in The Rings of Power series came out with a controversial new detail about Kevin Spacey. The actor did not hesitate to admit that the two-time Oscar winner Spacey is a big-time narcissist.
If Peter Mullan’s words are true, then Kevin Spacey liked to watch himself all day long. He recalled that he would run to the monitor and watch the playback even before the makers properly shout cut.
“Kevin Spacey would watch himself all day long. He never fu*king stops. The man is an a**hole. You would no sooner finish a scene with him, and he’d run to the monitor to watch playback. I used to wonder, why are you doing that? They’d barely shout cut, and he’d run.”
Mullain claimed that Kevin Spacey was fake and the primary reason behind his narcissistic behavior was to check “if the cheat had worked”. Even though the Harry Potter actor learned a lot about acting from Spacey, he described him as a “horrible human being”. Peter Mullan added that he along with several others thought the L.A. Confidential fame to be an incredible actor. However, the perspectives were soon changed after working with him.
“But when you’re acting with him, it was ham, absolute ham. But there’s a place for ham. Some actors have gone through such a process of becoming a star they can’t act human.”
Presently, Kevin Spacey is trying to chalk out a perfect career comeback after he was cleared from most of the accusations. Even though he was found not guilty in most of the cases, the actor was ordered to pay $1 million to the production company behind House of Cards earlier this year.

Kevin Spacey found one of his greatest successes after playing the POTUS in Netflix’s House of Cards. Soon after the accusations of s*xual assault against Spacey, the critically acclaimed show fired the lead from the series and announced that the final season would take place without him. The production company MRC sued Spacey for violating its s*xual harassment policy. It ordered him to pay $31 million in compensation.
However, as per Variety, the Se7en actor has to pay $1 million to the production house according to a new settlement for alleged s*xual misconduct against young male staff on the show. The actor is expected to pay the amount in multiple installments.
According to The Guardian, Kevin Spacey was cleared of the s*xual assault accusations by actor Anthony Rapp in October 2022. Later he was also found not guilty of several charges and is currently looking forward to a comeback project. The actor is set to appear in an upcoming thriller film titled Peter Five Eight which will be released on March 22, 2024.
