Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia has been on a roll for the past few months. My Hero Academia Achieves Major Milestone
The official account of My Hero Academia on X (Formerly Twitter) reported that the global circulation of the My Hero Academia manga has surpassed 100 million copies with the April 4 release of volume 40 in Japan. This was marked by the release of a unique new illustration by Horikoshi and a message from the creator himself.
In February 2023, there were more than 85 million copies of the manga in circulation globally. The series has yielded an incredible figure that will undoubtedly continue to rise as the series has been running one of the most important aspects of the story for a long time now. It has continuously been listed among the best-selling manga for many years and recently became one of the best-selling Weekly Shonen Jump manga in circulation.
Upon this accomplishment, My Hero Academia has become one of the select few series (21 in total) to surpass 100 million copies in circulation. The series has also released a special trailer for My Hero Academia’s volume 40 which was shared on the official Shonen Jump YouTube channel.
Fans Celebrate My Hero Academia Manga’s Milestone
As the news spread across the internet about My Hero Academia completing 100 million copies in circulation with the release of Volume 40, fans gathered on X (Formerly Twitter) to celebrate Kohei Horikoshi and his series’ major achievement.
They expressed their love for the series and how it has been entertaining them for years.
Along with that, some fans even came after Tite Kubo’s masterpiece Bleach, as My Hero Academia might not take much time in surpassing the overall sales of Bleach.

My Hero Academia has been going on since 2014 and it has made quite a name for itself.
