The possibility of a prominent anime or manga series being developed into a live-action adaptation has increased tenfold since the consecutive success of live-action adaptations of One Piece and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Now every fan wants his favorite series to get a live-action adaptation to find out what it would look like in the real world.

A similar instance occurred when a fan account for Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man posted a tweet stating that they had found the right actor to portray the role of Denji, the series’ protagonist if a live-action version of Chainsaw Man was ever made. The actor who fits the description of Denji is none other than Evan Peters, who played the role of Quicksilver in the Marvel Universe.

As soon as the tweet comparing the similarities between Peters and Denji went online, Chainsaw Man fans from all over came together and agreed to the fact that the Marvel actor would definitely do justice to the role of Chainsaw Man’s protagonist if a live-action series or movie was ever made.

The Marvel Star Who Could Be The Next Chainsaw Man

@Chainsawpedia shared a tweet where the user posted the look of Evan Peters from his The Office cameo as Luke, the spoiled nephew of Michael Scott, who became the office assistant for one episode.

His appearance and attire from the series shared an uncanny resemblance to Denji from the first season of Chainsaw Man.

Peters has made quite a name for himself as he has not only made a huge impact on the Marvel Universe by playing the recurring role of Quicksilver or Peter Maximoff, but he has also portrayed the role of the American serial killer Jeffery Dahmer in Netflix’s Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, for which he even got a Golden Globe award.

Although the Quicksilver actor would do justice to the role of Denji if a Chainsaw Man live-action is ever produced, he would not be the first choice of the creators. This is because Denji is a Japanese character, and it would not sit well with the fans. However, considering the current scenario in the live-action world, there is still some chance.

Chainsaw Man Fans Agree on the Uncanny Resemblance Between Evan Peters and Denji

Considering that the Chainsaw Man manga is still in the works and the anime series has only released the first season, there is very little chance that Chainsaw Man could get a live-action adaptation series or movie so soon. However, fans still hope to see their favorite series enter the real world one day.

This is why, when the tweet about Peters looking like Denji was shared on X, fans were eager to draw comparisons.

While some fans believed that the similarity was only because of the clothes, others thought that the actor would be the perfect choice for the role.

While the face and the appearance of Denji and Peters do match, Denji’s personality is totally unique and different from anything that the Marvel actor has ever played before. Also the ethnicity of Denji makes it highly unlikely for an American actor to play the role of a Japanese character and that too for the live-action of one of the biggest anime and manga series of all time.
