While filming around the regions of Hungary and Norway, Colin Farrell felt incredulous at the dangerous sports that they chose to shoot. With hundreds of ways to die, the actor told the Sunday World that he truly felt like death was just around the corner.

“I did feel that death was just around the corner at any given time. That we were just one mistake away from someone falling into the Arctic sea and either very quickly getting hypothermia or sinking under the weight of the waterlogged costume.”

He further continued,

“There were also polar bears around, who were beautiful and elegant and majestic but also apex predators. It was a very profound experience for us all to share.”

Well, these weren’t the only dangerous feats that Colin Farrell has done since the actor had once meddled in drug use and even accidentally encouraged a man to take heroin in moderate quantities!

In an earlier interview back in 2004, the actor revealed to PlayBoy that heroin [the drug] was “fine in moderation”. Not realizing the consequences of his actions, the actor stated years later in an interview with GQ (via Irish Independent) that those statements encouraged a man to take drugs!

“You have to be careful, because you know in Playboy I talked about a particular drug I had used once. I wasn’t saying that it was ever a good idea, but years later I was coming out of a 7-Eleven in Los Angeles and I bumped into a gentleman who was without a home, [living] on the streets.”

He further continued,

“And he said to me, ‘Colin Farrell? Oh man, big fan. You’re the reason I did,’ – and he mentioned the drug”.

Well, Farrell battled his drug addiction quite furiously and has been sober for quite a long time now. His 2021 television miniseries The North Water received a rating of 7.6/10 on IMDB and a whopping high of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Colin Farrell-starrer series is available to stream on Prime Video in the U.S.
