Edward Norton is renowned for featuring in great films. His outstanding work in timeless classics such as Fight Club, Primal Fear, Kingdom of Heaven, and many more films. As a result, the actor is considered to be one of the best actors of this generation, creating an unmatched legacy in the movie industry. However, there’s one film that is not remembered by the fans as it was so horrendous to watch that it failed to make an everlasting impact in the minds of the viewers.
Even though Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk did tremendously badly at the box, it had an outstanding scene that was deleted from the final film. Had that scene been included in the film, the audience’s attitude toward that film would have been the polar opposite of what it is today.

The Deleted Scene From Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk
Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk had a lot of creative differences that got him replaced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The final film had removed 23 minutes worth of watch time which would have made the film feel incredibly different. In a video, shared by YouTuber ReliableNarrator, he shares a deleted scene from the 2008 film, which would have completely changed the tone of the film.
In the video, we could see the Red Dragon actor in a scene walking aimlessly in an arctic land, where he was exhausted and struggling to fight his fear of being a massive threat. In a swift rush of adrenaline, he removed his protection, pulled out a gun, and fired it.
The perspective changes to a higher angle and it is hazy and unclear, where Hulk pulls out the bullet from his mouth. While Banner sees Hulk as a monster and a threat, Hulk wants to live freely showing a beautiful conflict, showcasing a beautiful tragedy.
MCU Fans Were Furious With Marvel for Deleting the Beautiful Scene
The fans were not happy with Marvel Studios for removing this beautiful scene that would have changed the perspective of the fans towards the character, as they commented on how this scene would have been a great addition to the film.
“They always delete the best deleted scenes.”
Another fan comments, how Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner did mention this event in the MCU.
“The MCU explains this, Banner (Mark Ruffalo) tells everyone he tried to shoot himself, and Hulk spits out the bullets.”
A fan comments this scene justifies why Edward Norton was upset for deleted scenes in the movie, and how the film would have been extremely different if this scene were in the movie.
“I can see why Norton was upset about some scenes being deleted from the movie. This would’ve been great if they kept it.”
A fan comments that this scene is similar to the opening of Frankenstein.
“It also ties thematically to the opening of Frankenstein.”
A fan comments that Hulk is a deep and beautiful character, but Marvel failed to show that to their fans, this deleted scene showcases exactly how meaningful his struggles and life as a monster were.
“Hulk is such a deep and Beautiful character, and I truly think The Incredible Hulk was indeed the most incredible Thing Marvel was able to do with the character on the Big Screen, yeah it might not be the best Movie ever but as a Hulk and Banner Story…is simply beatiful. And this moment reflects that…wish we could have saw that.”
This is one of the many scenes that was deleted from the final film, which justifies Norton’s decision to walk away from the MCU, as he might not have preferred playing a character that didn’t have a meaningful backstory.
The Incredible Hulk can be streamed on Disney+.
