After the Cartenon Temple incident, Sung Jin-Woo is on his way to leveling up at every step. He was assigned a set of tasks each day, and completing them would get him to level up. In the latest episode of Solo Leveling, Sung Jin-Woo has overcome his fear of being the weakest hunter of all and has showcased new abilities that stunned the fans. Even Cha Hae-in was also there in the dungeon. But just as it was about to get interesting, the sequence suddenly shifted to a café scene. The café scene introduced the side characters, including Hee-Jin and Gina. While it was good to see the characters being introduced early in the anime, shifting the sequence to another scene with no connection whatsoever left the fans disappointed.

Solo Leveling has awesome fight sequences, and the dungeon fight was going to be the first of many. The anime introduces characters earlier than in the manhwa, but introducing them in between is something they did not wish for. The fans were quick to address their disappointment with social media.

Solo Leveling is still in its initial phase. It does a good job of introducing the characters early so that the anime can focus on the main story later. But the creators need to remember not to interrupt a dungeon scene. If it continues, more disappointment is in store for the fans.

Solo Leveling is available on Crunchyroll.
