God of War: Ragnarok has enticed fans all across the world who went through difficult phases to complete the rounds. While it featured the series protagonist, Kratos, and his teenage son, Atreus, many are already racking their brains regarding the sequel that will continue the popular series. Given that the series has already surpassed fans’ expectations, it is fair enough to say that Sony’s Santa Monica Studio would likely come up with new adventures.
While there are no plans regarding the upcoming sequel, fans have already demanded the company for a faceoff between two powerful warriors, the God of War and Sun Wukong.
God of War Vs Sun Wukong
According to Chinese Mythology, Sun Wukong is a Chinese trickster God who is blessed with immense superhuman strength with an ability to transform into 72 different animals and objects. His abilities didn’t just end it as he can easily manipulate fire, water, and wind as well. His impeccable strength, sharp-minded personality, fast speed, and analytical thinking above all make him a great warrior.
Now that users are aware of the fact that all mythologies exist in God of War‘s universe, it is safe to say that the future may explore more geographical regions in the future. Given that, a sequel is yet to come, a tweet by the @basedpota18 account shared a possibility of Kratos and Atreus running into the Chinese God.

It will probably be an epic battle as the duo are dominant figures in their world. If Wukong were to fight with the God of War, it is going to get the game to a different level.
What’s Next After God of War: Ragnarok
The switch from Greek to Norse mythology in the GOW world is an initiative that means that the developers are open to exploring various other mythologies in the game series.
God of War: Ragnarok has already convinced the world that the journey which is about to come is going to get more exciting. It is already a fact the 2022 game has already received universal acclaim from critics and ended up becoming the fastest-selling first-party game in PlayStation history.
While Ragnarok eventually concluded Kratos’ journey in this mythology, it also hinted that a spin-off game with Atreus as the sole protagonist would likely be in the upcoming sequel. It is also possible that they will explore other mythologies while Kratos sets off for an adventure.
