People have been critiquing how WB handles the property and how they treat it as only a moneymaking franchise rather than concentrating on making quality films.

DC Spokesperson Refutes Recent Rumors About Jason Momoa’s Behavior on Set
Recently, rumors began to circulate that Jason Momoa was frequently intoxicated on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and he would dress up as Johnny Depp to scare Amber Heard. But a spokesperson from DC refuted these claims, as Variety reported saying,
“A DC spokesperson pushed back on Heard’s characterization, saying, ‘Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’. Others echoed that sentiment. ‘Jason works his ass off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set,’ says an insider who was on the London set in 2021, adding that the two stars got along and were seen joking together. ‘And he isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp. He has always dressed in that bohemian style.'”
The film has been plagued by negativity all over and this has seriously affected its anticipation and hype among fans. It remains to be seen whether the actual film turns out to be a good one when it releases in theaters on December 20, 2023.
