Harrison Ford is no stranger to letting him express himself in movies. Whether it is a hit franchise or a somewhat underwhelming film that goes above the audience’s heads, he gives his best regardless. From Han Solo to Indiana Jones, iconic roles are nothing he is short of. With his fame, it is only obvious that he ends up giving a lot of interviews as well.
There are various interviews in which the celebrities are allowed to be candid and express themselves without issues. Samuel L. Jackson is one star known for how much he curses during interviews, or in general. However, it was Ford who got into trouble with his wife for swearing a little too much during one of his interviews.
Harrison Ford Got a Little Too Free During an Interview
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford was openly talking without any care about whether or not his language was crude or if he was swearing a little too much. Although there was nothing as such offensive that was said during the interview, it was the very fact that he swore too much that seemed to upset his wife, Calista Flockhart.
“Hey, if you don’t mind, leave the ‘f—— A’ out,” the actor added. “My wife is still giving me s— about that Hollywood Reporter thing, and I’m trying not to say that too much.”
While speaking with Esquire, the actor accidentally let another curse word slip when expressing his love for aviation. He let the word out and then went out of his way to ask the interviewer to remove it later on. He added that Flockhart was not happy to see him swear so much during an interview, stating that she was giving him ‘sh*t,’ for the longest time because of it.
Harrison Ford Did Not Think His Interview Was Formal Enough
Harrison Ford, when talking with Esquire, stated that despite his wife’s dismay, he did not necessarily find that interview to be so formal. According to the actor, the entire setting of the interview with the Hollywood Reporter was too casual for him to think it was imperative that he clean his tone of speaking.
“Me and the writer were sitting on folding chairs in a horse stall. It didn’t feel like a formal enough atmosphere to have to clean up my language,” he stated. “And they printed every single f—.”
Ford elaborated that they were sitting on folding chairs in a horse stall, something he does not see as the ideal environment for an interview. Due to this, he ended up cursing a little too much. To his misfortune, they printed every single swear word that he spoke.
