Recently, Kieran Culkin got the golden opportunity to react to the viral meme that had been circulating the internet, where an online debate took place between which famous brothers would win in a fight, the Culkin brothers or the Skarsgård brothers?
The Culkin brothers, consisting of Macaulay Culkin, Kieran Culkin, and Rory Culkin, whereas, the Skarsgård brothers, including Alexander Skarsgård, Bill Skarsgård, and Gustaf Skarsgård. Both brothers are extremely talented and thanks to Kieran Culkin’s insight, he weighed in on the hilarious debate.
The Succession actor was present at the 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, where he was stopped by Entertainment Tonight, the interviewer asked him “who would win in a brawl” between the Culkins vs Skarsgårds. The actor immediately replied,
“They’re huge…they’re huge. We would lose, that’s like not even a… Okay, size matters, I don’t care what anyone says, size matters. You give us a couple of blades and you tie an arm behind their back or something like that, break an ankle on each Skarsgård… maybe we have a shot.”
The interviewer replied, “So, Skarsgårds- 1, Culkins…” The instant analysis was hilarious, and both families are equally popular in Hollywood, making renowned movies like John Wick 4, It, Succession, and many more. While Kieran Culkin is a witty personality, he has his grudges against certain media outlets for justifiable reasons.
Kieran Culkin On How Certain Media Outlets Take it Too Far
The Home Alone actor is quite upset with how certain media outlets take it too far and they would sensationalize the fact to gain more coverage for themselves. While talking to Esquire, Culkin shared how he refused to speak to Access Hollywood after they wrote a piece of news on their family in 1977, and he was not hesitant in expressing his despise to the news outlet.
“The newspaper doesn’t always give you the facts,” he said. “Let me rephrase that. The New York Post doesn’t always give you the f**king facts.”
Similarly, he also refused to speak to The New York Post, which he said was terrible to his brother and their family. However, the Fargo actor would often break his own rule because he loses track of the news outlets when he is on a red carpet event or doing a press tour.
“They don’t always tell you who you’re talking to until after you’ve talked to them. ‘Who is that by the way?’ They’re like, ‘Access Hollywood.’ ‘F**k! Just broke my own f**king rule.’”
Nevertheless, the actor would prefer his family over news outlets and would go to battles to save them from the misleading information shared by media outlets for their personal benefit.
