Jack Quaid Had A Very Embarrassing Moment At A Deli!
Back in 1989, Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal starred in the rom-com When Harry Met Sally. With Ryan portraying the role of Sally Albright, she had a very infamous and yet iconic scene in a deli. Proving to Billy Crystal’s Harry Burns that women can fake their orgasms, the actress lets out moans, and people in the diner are quite disturbed by the behavior.
Although it was all a part of the film, the deli (called Katz’s Deli) hasn’t forgotten the incident. Placing an arrow on the table where Meg Ryan sat, her son Jack Quaid felt a lot of embarrassment when he stayed at a hotel across the deli. In an interview with Interview Magazine, Meg Ryan shared with Carol Burnett her conversation with her embarrassed son.
“My son just called me this morning and he’s in New York staying at a hotel that’s right across the street from Katz’s Deli. My daughter was here and everybody was on speaker, and they were like, ‘Mom, this is a very unique embarrassment.’ He said, ‘You know you can go into that deli and there’s an arrow pointing down to the table where you shot that scene.”
Being an actor famous in his own world, the actor recently appeared in Christopher Nolan’s 2023 magnum opus Oppenheimer. Speaking about the experience, the actor shared that he felt like a mere blip but he enjoyed shooting the film!

“Shooting that was such an incredible experience. Like, I’m like a blip in that movie, but it was just so incredible to sit there and watch true masters do what they do. I got kind of starstruck, especially when he would do the ‘director’s point,’ that framing thing [directors do] with their hands.”
