The iconic actor Paul Rudd, known for portraying the iconic role of Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has an equally iconic love life. From having a meet-cute date with Julie Yaeger to marrying her, Rudd and Yaeger have had quite the romantic timeline.
In an interview back in 2018, Paul Rudd couldn’t help but compliment his wife and how he realized that she was the one. Talking about maturity levels and being an understanding partner, Rudd realized that Julie Yaeger wasn’t an ordinary stranger.
When Paul Rudd Realized That She Was The One
According to US Magazine, Paul Rudd married the love of his life Julie Yaeger in 2003 and both have been living happily married ever since. After dating for a short while following Rudd’s Clueless, the actor decided to tie the knot with Yaeger.
Since their marriage, Yaeger has become a screenwriter and a producer with some projects to her name. In a 2018 interview with Marie Claire UK, the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire actor talked about Julie Yaeger (Rudd) and how he realized that she wasn’t some ordinary girl.
“We started talking and there was a maturity with her – she had experienced some tragedy in her life, I had too, and the impression I got was, wow, this is a woman. This isn’t a girl.”
He further continued,
“I was really taken with who she was and how she had overcome and was in the process of overcoming adversities in her life. There was a perspective that she had and still has on the world that you don’t come to easily – it’s earned and most people don’t have it at such a young age.”
As the interview continued, Paul Rudd talked about his late father and how he was a history fanatic. Going in the flow of emotions, Rudd seemed to comment that his father wouldn’t have liked to see America as it is today!
Paul Rudd Also Talked About His Late Father
Rudd stated to Marie Claire UK that his father was a history fanatic who often used to write letters to newspapers about what was wrong in the country. Being born to British parents who shifted to the U.S., Rudd revealed that the only good thing about his father’s death is that he wouldn’t have to see the state of the world.
When the interviewer asked Rudd what his late father would think of America today (in 2018), here’s what the Ant-Man actor had for a reply.
“I have often said the only good thing about my father being dead is that he doesn’t have to see what’s happening now, because if he did, I can’t even imagine what he’d say. I mean, I can imagine, but yeah. There would be a lot of letters…”
Well, all things aside, it seems that Paul Rudd and Julie Yaeger are having the time of their lives ever since getting married. The actor was last seen in the 2024 film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (which pulled a Zack Snyder move) and is currently associated with 3 other upcoming projects.
