Chris Hemsworth Does Not Have A Death Sentence On His Head!

It was 2022 when Hemsworth, as a part of the National Geographic docuseries Limitless, took a genetic test. In the test, it was revealed that Hemsworth carried the APOE4 gene which “could” pose the risk of Alzheimer’s in the future.

When the news was made public, the world did not stay quiet. With hundreds of media outlets wanting to get a comment from Hemsworth, it was alleged that Hemsworth had dementia and that he was retiring from acting. With chaos surrounding Hemsworth, the Furiosa actor simply stayed quiet for a while and now, he’s ready to answer.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hemsworth talked about his initial scare of the potential risk of Alzheimer’s, how the media created it to be something else, and how he does not have a death sentence on his head.

“No matter how much I said ‘This is not a death sentence,’ the story became that I have dementia and I’m reconsidering life and retiring and so on.”

Being an iconic actor who knows how to mask his face, Hemsworth further revealed that there was a moment when he was really vulnerable after his diagnosis.

Even actors have their breaking points. The breaking point for Chris Hemsworth was when he revealed publicly about his diagnosis and people started spreading rumors about the actor. With rumors of dementia, retirement, and a risk to his life and career, Hemsworth revealed that he felt really vulnerable at that time.

“It really kind of pissed me off because it felt like I had been vulnerable with something personal and shared this”

But pulling himself up, Hemsworth had a smile on his face as he revealed what he commented on his own post under an article.

“I did read a really funny comment at the bottom of one article: ‘I hope Chris forgets he’s retiring and comes back.’”
