This isn’t new as their 2020 video game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, was also priced similarly, with the Ultimate Edition costing $129.99 for a physical copy. Even today, their 2018 video game, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s Ultimate Edition is priced at $119.99. It appears like Ubisoft is trying to convince its fanbase to purchase Ubisoft+ Premium by pricing the games at these insane prices.

Star Wars Outlaws will be released on 30th August 2024

Ubisoft first announced in 2021 that they are working on a Star Wars game under license by Lucasfilm Games. A cinematic trailer was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2023 and subsequently, ten minutes of gameplay footage was revealed to the fans. Since then, there has been a lot of excitement about the game.

Set during the period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Star Wars Outlaws features Kay Vess and her companion Nix as they “attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen.” The official story trailer was released on YouTube:
