Charlie Cox has done a variety of roles in his acting career but none of them could match the popularity he received while portraying the role of Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in Marvel’s Daredevil. The actor has embodied the role, especially the physicality of the character and he has skillfully played the blind part of the vigilante, and his presence is immensely loved by the Marvel fans. Cox’s Matt Murdock has been present in other Marvel projects in the past, and now he is also present in Echo.
While Charlie Cox’s presence was appreciated by the fans, they were heavily disappointed as the fight sequence between Daredevil and Echo was shown on TV, earlier today. The fans were surprised as the scene did not look like an action scene, but more of a dance, and they did not hold back while sharing their thoughts on social media.
Fans Lashed Out At The Underwhelming Confrontation Between Daredevil and Echo
Marvel’s Echo had made quite the shockwave when its trailer was first dropped on YouTube, as fans believed that this show would be a must-watch. However, today a fight scene was shown between Daredevil and Echo, and the fans were left with a sinking feeling in their stomach as Marvel couldn’t afford to showcase a worthwhile hand-to-hand combat scene.
In a clip shared by DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) on X, fans were sharing their disappointment at the fight scene on X, as the show has already failed to meet their expectations.
This is utter garbage, nothing about this compares to Netflix Daredevil. This is horrible choreography, these Disney + shows can’t do fight scenes right to save their own lives.

Another user wondered if Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez were doing a rehearsal, as she let him hold her leg in the scene.
Were they rehearsal? How come Echo let the guy holding the leg?😳

A user commented that this scene would be the only best scene from the entire show.
This looks bad but probably the only good part of the show

Daredevil Director Believes Charlie Cox Is The Greatest Daredevil
Charlie Cox’s portrayal as ‘The Man Without Fear’ is often hailed as his greatest role, as he showcases a wide variety of emotions like vulnerability and the emotional as well as physical struggles that resonate with the show’s viewers. Marc Jobst, who has directed the episodes New York’s Finest and Resurrection in Season 2 and Season 3 believes that Cox has embodied the character.
During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Jobst stated how Charlie Cox can embody the physicality of the character and he breaks down the reasons that had impressed him the most.
“Charlie is an unbelievable physical athlete. We were shooting the scene, I think it was the first episode of season three, and he’d been in some terrible situation, the building had collapsed on him, and he’d escaped through it, and he was recovering in the chapel of this church.”
“In part of that recovery process, he was doing a series of exercises to bring himself back to himself, and we were doing these sort of things, and he was like, “Ah, this is what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna do a handstand, and I’m going to do press ups on a handstand.” I don’t know if you’ve ever tried that, Grant, but for the likes of you and me, it’s just not wise, unless you’ve really done some training. [Laughs] He just got up and he just did it, it was like, “What? Wow!””
While more of Daredevil is not shown in Marvel, the franchise has done the groundwork that will feature not only Daredevil but also Kingpin, as Marvel’s intertwining stories have made sure that they fit into the larger picture.
Echo will be available to stream on Disney+, from 9th January 2024.
