Gen V star Chance Perdomo Passes Away
Actor Chance Perdomo passed away on March 29, 2024, after being involved in a motorcycle accident. The twenty-seven-year-old actor was known for his roles in the recent The Boys spinoff Gen V and the Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He also had a recurring role in the romantic film series After, joining from the film After We Fell.
According to a statement released by his representatives, Perdomo was the only one involved in the accident and no one else was injured. The statement read (via The Guardian),
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Perdomo was reportedly born in Los Angeles but moved to Southampton, England when he was a child. He chose to pursue acting at the National Youth Theater after shifting from his goal to become a lawyer. He was also trained at the Identity School of Acting in London. The actor’s other prominent roles included his BAFTA-nominated performance in Killed by My Debt.
Fans Are Heartbroken Over One Of The Star’s Final Instagram Posts
Many around the world mourned the demise of Chance Perdomo. Condolences and statements from many productions he had worked with made the rounds in media, including that of one of his final appearances in the Amazon Prime Video show Gen V. The actor played the role of Andre Anderson in the show, which received positive responses.
The makers of Gen V also put out a condolence statement for the actor and have reportedly postponed filming of the second season of the show. The statement was posted on X (formerly Twitter),
“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
Many fans also took to social media to pay tribute to the star. One of the actor’s final posts on Instagram before his death seemed to be that of his new motorcycle which was reportedly involved in the fatal accident. Chance Perdomo wrote, “Day 77. Final calm before storm. #backontheroad” in the caption of the post.
Fans seemed to be heartbroken as the actor seemed to be excited to take out his beloved machine for a spin before his death.
