The 2022 FX-produced drama stars Jeremy Allen White as the compelling chef Carmen Berzatto who takes over his family restaurant, the Original Beef of Chicagoland after his brother’s death. The show presents the struggling realities of running a business in the restaurant industry. While fans highly relate to the plot and are deeply involved with the happenings, they don’t feel it fits in rightly as a comedy.

Hence, among the four Emmy Award wins the show bagged this season, The Bear also won an award for ‘Best Casting for a Comedy.’ Fans were bewildered upon hearing the news and took to social media to chip in their insights. Questions were raised on the comical elements of the series.

Based in Chicago, even Season 2 of the show impressively kept viewers engaged, being regarded as one of its best. Nevertheless, after the news traveled through social media platforms, netizens were not convinced of the show’s achievement in comedy.
