Ever since it was revealed that the Wonka alum became an actor thanks to The Dark Knight, fans have been casting the actor in one key role that is instrumental to the Batman mythos. Fans believe that the actor would be perfect for the role of Batman’s first protege: Dick Grayson.

Fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to talk about the character that they think is best for Timothée Chalamet, and the consensus says that the Dune star should play Dick Grayson as Nightwing, perhaps after his years with the Titans, and well into a relationship with Star-Fire.

Chalamet definitely has the look for a younger superhero character, one that could serve as the leader of the younger generation of heroes. Nightwing would require Chalamet to put on a significant amount of muscle mass, but would work perfectly for the actor, given his acting chops.

The actor could also easily lay any of the adjacent Robins, especially Jason Todd. Chalamet’s acting chops also make it possible for the actor to pick up other roles in the DC universe, some that could focus away from the Batman mythos. Apart from playing Nightwing and Red Hood, Chalamet could also play Superboy, Aqualad, or even Captain Marvel Jr.

Leonardo DiCaprio, arguably one of the biggest stars in the industry, allegedly advised Timothee Chalamet to never do a superhero film. However, the actor has revealed that he would be open to doing a superhero film if the script was something he enjoyed. The actor, upon being asked about the state of superhero films by the New York Times, replied:

“Well, Leonardo DiCaprio said to me, “No superhero movies, no hard drugs.” Which I thought was very good.”

Upon being probed a little further with the question, the actor also revealed:

“I follow them both! But the movie that made me want to act is a superhero movie, “The Dark Knight.” If the script was great, if the director was great, I’d have to consider it.”

The actor has revealed that he very much enjoyed working with Denis Villeneuve, and was awed by the lack of pomp on set. The actor said that he would specifically require a good script and a good director for his superhero film before he would sign on, which makes sense, given that his chief inspiration for acting comes from The Dark Knight, which was directed by Christopher Nolan.
