The reason behind the confrontation left many astonished after the former Scientologist Leah Remini revealed the incident in her memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.
Tom Cruise Lashed Out At His Assistants
Hollywood actress and former Scientologist, Leah Remini, recalled witnessing a tempered Tom Cruise, who lashed out at his assistants over cookie dough. She shared that it happened while she and her husband, Angelo Pagán, were hanging out with Cruise and his ex-wife, Katie Holmes.
Remini recounted the incident, explaining that Cruise wanted to bake cookies. However, he was enraged after being unable to spot the pre-packaged cookie dough on the kitchen counter. The situation escalated as Cruise’s frustration mounted, leading to an explosive warning to his assistants.
“Get in the f*cking present time is what you need to do!” Remini recalled his words, as per Vulture. She further described his behavior, stating, “Tom seemed like a child who had never been told no.” He even went on to give a rundown of the hierarchy, reminding his assistants of their position with his hand down at his waist.
The King of Queens star also said that no one said anything as they were “terrified of offending” the Hollywood star. Remini explained that she and her husband initially observed in silence, and she later defused the situation by casually pointing out the cookie dough on the kitchen counter.
Tom Cruise Was Reportedly Furious Over Leah Remini’s Claims
After Leah Remini made several claims about Tom Cruise and Scientology in her book, the actor was reportedly not too pleased with it. According to Us Weekly, he was “freaking out,” and even called it a “major betrayal” from Remini’s side.
However, he has not said anything against or regarding Remini in public. While Cruise has refrained from talking on the issue, the Church of Scientology addressed the actress’ claims in a statement. “Sadly, bitterness and anger are common threads through Ms. Remini’s life,” the statement read, diminishing her allegations as a product of personal grievances and contends that she tends to point fingers at others rather than acknowledging her own role in any perceived issues.
