Players were still able to access multiplayer while Activision was busy trying to fix the issues, and those who tried the multiplayer modes reported them being a lot easier to handle as Skill-based Matchmaking was disabled. At the time of writing, Ranked Play was said to be fixed and players were asked to restart their games to check player progression being restored.

Players have been responding to the official updates account on X with their gamer tags to get their player progression restored, in case it doesn’t reflect in their accounts. Players were asked to mention the official COD account ID along with their Activision ID and their Combat Record for the support team to help restore progression.

Xbox Head Phil Spencer had also recently come on record to mention the missing franchise in Xbox Game Pass, Activision’s Call of Duty franchise will make it to the Xbox and PC Game Pass. Spencer had mentioned that the entire portfolio from Zenimax and Activision is being considered to debut on Xbox Game Pass.
