In a surprise turn of events, professional mixed martial artist Conor McGregor is joining Hitman: World of Assassination as part of an elusive target mission. While the megastar is not going to have a bout in UFC 303 due to an injury, he will be the target for many players.
Despite the UFC champ heading to the game, fans are not happy with IO Interactive. This is because Conor is arriving as part of the elusive target quest, which has not been a hit amongst fans in the past.
Elusive Targets is Not What Hitman: World of Assassination Fans Want

When it comes to elusive target quests being added by IO Interactive, it has not been well received by fans. On the one hand, the idea of becoming a silent contract killer sounds appealing in the game, but at the same time, if you miss the target or fail at a mission, you cannot retry. It’s essentially a one-and-done mission.
While bringing a star to the game as part of the elusive target quest is great on paper, the event is only available from June 27 to July 29. As mentioned before, you won’t be able to attempt the quest on failing it.
The event is called “The Disruptor” and is available for free. The mission revolves around taking down a big-name MMA star who has started a feud with the CEO of a tech company, thus getting their name on the hit list.
Fans haven’t shied away from showing their frustrations with this event, as many did not want to see an elusive target quest despite appreciating the collaboration with The Notorious One. However, there is a possibility the event later gets added to the elusive arcade, where you can attempt it again for free.
IO Interactive Brings The Distruptor DLC to Hitman: World of Assassination

Although the quest can be attempted for free, interested players can also buy The Disruptor DLC for $4.99. What’s interesting is that players who buy the DLC will have permanent access to The Ostentatious, a two-level arcade contract featuring The Disruptor himself, who is none other than Conor McGregor.
For anyone confused, buying the DLC will get you access to the same elusive quest, but you can attempt it as many times as you want, though only for the three days time duration.
The base mission is part of the free starter pack and cannot be reattempted, as mentioned before. Along with access to the quest, buying the DLC will get players The Disruptor Fur Coat, Kettlebell, Resistance Band, and a Cane.
Players will also net a set of cosmetics based around the elusive target mission. What are your thoughts on this crossover? Let us know in the comments below!
