One Piece anime is currently focusing on Blackbeard Pirates and their menace against other prominent characters from the series like Trafalgar D. Law and Cracker from the Big Mom Pirates. While Blackbeard and Burgess are seen fighting against Law, a flashback shows Cracker being attacked by Van Augur and the newly appointed member of the Blackbeard Pirates: Aokiji Kuzan.
Van Augur, who is the sniper of the Blackbeard Pirates took little to no time in destroying one of the strongest members of the Big Mom Pirates. This has caused mayhem within the One Piece community because fans have known Van Augur for almost ten years but never knew how powerful he was.
This also comes as a shock because he achieved something that even Gear 4 Luffy couldn’t do. During the Whole Cake Island arc, Luffy had a lot of trouble beating Cracker, but Van Augur’s intimidating strength took down Cracker with so ease. This has led fans to believe that Van Augur might be stronger than Gear 4 Luffy.
Van Augur Took Down Cracker Easily
Van Augur is a sniper for the Blackbeard Pirates and one of the ten Titanic captains. Augur is perhaps one of the finest skilled marksmen in the series. Augur acquired the ability to teleport himself and others from one location to another by eating the Wapu Wapu no Mi, a Devil Fruit similar to Paramecia.
When the episode shows the flashback of the Blackbeard Pirates kidnapping Pudding, it is revealed that Augur and Aokiji were confronted by Cracker, one of Big Mom’s sons. Upon seeing Kuzan and Augur, he immediately launched his notorious attack, which enabled him to generate Biscuit warriors.
To the utter amazement of fans of One Piece, Augur instantly shot all three soldiers while warping on top of a hill. Later, Aokiji froze Cracker and took Pudding with him. This led the fans to believe that Van Augur might be stronger than Gear 4 Luffy because Cracker is a strong opponent and Luffy had a hard time with him.
Van Augur Might Be Stronger Than Gear 4 Luffy
Big Mom and her kids showed off some outrageous and strong skills throughout the Whole Cake Island arc which made Luffy’s mission to bring back Sanji extremely difficult. Two of her boys in particular made Luffy had to use all of his might to defeat them. After fighting them all, Luffy was barely able to stand and they had to run from the island.
Cracker was one of Big Mom Pirate’s fiercest warriors and one of the Three Sweet Commanders of the family, a status that Katakuri also shared. He attacked Luffy and Nami in the Whole Cake Island storyline after they got stuck in the Seducing Woods of the island.
He engaged with Luffy in combat for eleven hours, during which time he created numerous biscuit warriors who needed to be crushed with Gear 4’s Kong Gun which is one of the strongest attacks Luffy can use. The character that gave Luffy so much trouble, being easily defeated by Van Augur points to the fact that he might be stronger than Gear 4 Luffy because Augur has not even shown his full potential yet.
