The end of the DCEU that brought disgrace to Warner Bros. Discovery due to lax and unsatisfactory management, the path of new beginnings has opened. And with the upcoming film nearing release, people have a lot of unanswered questions that they need answers to. Therefore, director Angel Manuel Soto, the filmmaker behind the aforementioned film, has some answers to share, especially regarding whether the film would be connected to the outgoing DCEU or to the Snyderverse. In a recent interview, when asked the question, the director said:

“We are part of the universe, we are part of the world, we are part of the plans that they have been creating for the future instalments of the DCU, but we are not tied to all the films from the past. Yes, our movie lives in the world where superheroes exist. But that doesn’t mean that a certain event, or certain alliance, or certain things from the past dictate where our film is going.”

Therefore, all the fans of Zack Snyder who were thinking that there may be a connection between the film and the vision the director had will be left disappointed.
