A few months back, Kevin Sorbo once again called out the entertainment industry in America for not giving him jobs because of his faith in God. While we don’t know how much truth there is to this, the actor is convinced that Hollywood is a bit hypocritical in nature.

Talking to Fox News Digital alongside his wife, Kevin Sorbo expressed his disappointment with Hollywood for blacklisting him simply because of his faith. He recalled how his then-agent and manager had to let him go as there were apparently no jobs in the industry for a conservative Christian like him.

He stated,

“I mean, here’s the thing. We have such a huge divide in our country right now, and it’s perpetuated by the mainstream media, perpetuated by movies, TV. I don’t harbor that kind of anger and hatred towards people. I have a different point of view. It was sad to me, you know, my manager and agent for so many years said that we can’t get you jobs anymore, work with you because of you being a Christian, being a conservative.”

Calling Hollywood a “one-way street,” Sorbo continued,

“And I almost had to laugh at that because it’s an industry that screams for tolerance, and yet it’s a one-way street. It screams for freedom of speech. But Hollywood’s a one-way street as well. And that’s just too bad, you know. But I love the industry. I love the movies and TV.”

While Sorbo remains firm on his stand about Hollywood, it’s important to note that actors like Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, who are also practicing Christians, seem to be doing just fine in the industry.

There’s no doubt that cancel culture is stronger now more than ever and Sorbo does not seem to be enjoying it. Back in 2021, the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor appeared for an interview with PragerU where he talked about the difference between then and now in Hollywood.

“The difference today, I think is…back then compared to now, you have got to play even more of a game now. You’ve got to be ready to bite your lip more than ever in the climate that’s going on in America and the climate that’s going on in the world, because you’ve got this woke thing, and this cancel culture where people are coming after you.”

He also stated how “insane” it is that people can get into trouble for something they said or did thirty years ago. He even called out people for putting labels on people without having adequate proof to back their claims.
