After 2022’s Disenchanted, Amy Adams will star in the upcoming horror comedy film Nightbitch. The film is based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Rachel Yoder and chronicles the story of a stay-at-home mom who believes she is turning into a dog.
In an interview with Movieweb. one of the stars of the film Scoot McNairy teased that the film is a very different film and Adams is phenomenal in it. He pointed out the weird premise of the film and the unusual approach that they took to film it. McNairy is excited to see the audience’s reactions to the film. The actor said,
Amy Adams is phenomenal in it, and I had such a wonderful time working with her. It’s such a different film, but yet, so… It’s weird, grounded, but it’s not grounded. I’m really interested to see the audience’s response to it. I think people are really gonna like it. I loved it, I just laughed and thought it was funny and couldn’t be more truthful in this sort of world.
Nightbitch also stars Arleigh Patrick Snowden, Emmett James Snowden, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Ella Thomas, Archana Rajan, and Jessica Harper. The film is scheduled to premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and will hit theatres on December 6, 2024.
