The Birth Of Superior Spider-Man
Octavius becomes the Superior Spider-Man following Parker’s death. But his way of heroism was not complementing Parker’s legacy. His methods of punishing criminals were different, mostly filled with violence and horror. Of course, he believed that he was doing good for people by being their vigilante messiah but in reality, everyone around grew tired of his methodology.
He would trap their freedom by captivating them while allowing some to get away as he pleased. His devious reign, however, propelled the formation of an army seeking revenge against Octavius.
The army led by Green Goblin struck Octavius and he realized the grave mistake he had been making and that he could never be the Peter Parker everyone loved. Soon, he found out that fragments of Parker’s consciousness were alive and Octavius eventually surrendered sacrificing himself and letting Parker be the true Superior Spider-Man.
