In a recent post on X, the news was announced that the nominees for the “Best Stunts in a Movie” award were revealed. The list contained several iconic movies like John Wick: Chapter 4 and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. What the list also contained was the 2023 Greta Gerwig movie Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling!

Addressing the elephant in the room, people quickly took to the reply section and tweeted about how the Margot Robbie starrer didn’t belong on the list. Stating that the movie had been getting too much attention, some people thought that it was just for the sake of inclusivity while others trolled the list.

Well… it is indeed a tough choice between the movies but only time will tell who can win the award for “Best Stunts in a Movie” according to the Screen Actors Guild.

With the 2023 movie earning over a billion dollars at the global box office collection, it is an obvious question whether the world will be able to see Barbie and Ken again. In a brief chat with Variety on the Golden Globes red carpet, Margot Robbie playfully hinted at the possibility of a sequel.

“You can prove me wrong. We’ll see.” 

In a separate interview with the Associated Press, the actress claimed that they didn’t have any immediate plans but that doesn’t mean it was the end for Barbie!

“We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something. Greta [Gerwig] put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”

With a rating of 6.9/10 on IMDB and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starter is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
