Emily Blunt is a truly sensational actress. She has established herself as a true icon through her work in projects like the Quite Place film series, The Devil Wears Prada, Sicario, and most recently, her work in the widely critically acclaimed project, Oppenheimer. She is also known for having quite sarcastic humor, which only adds to the reasons why so many adore the actress as much as they do.

It would seem that being protective over her co-stars is another thing that can be added to the list of traits about the actress. The reason for this is the fact that while doing press for her 2021 film, Jungle Cruise, alongside her co-star Dwayne Johnson, the actress got extremely angry when the ex-wrestler was asked a weird question about his body and how it was imperfect. So much so, that she challenged the people who were asking this, asking them questions about their bodies.

Dwayne Johnson Was Asked About Imperfections In His Body

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt interviewed with Wired, where they answered, some of the internet’s most searched questions about themselves. Among these questions, was one that’s stuck out negatively. The ex-wrestler was asked why his six-pack abs were imperfect.

This, on its own, is an extremely odd and insensitive question. Despite this, the actor answered, candidly, stating that he finds it very interesting, how Instagram models, who advertise fitness, often have the perfect physique.

“All these Instagram fitness models have these incredible six-, eight-, 12-, 24-pack stomachs. I’ve got, like, a five-and-a-half pack, sometimes a four-and-a-half-pack!” Johnson says with a laugh. “But the problem was, which a lot of people don’t know, in a wrestling match, I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis… It caused a chain reaction and it tore my abdomen wall. I had to do a triple hernia emergency surgery for [three tears]. So, they’re not perfect abs!”

Compared to them, he simply has what he calls, a ‘five-and-a-half pack which is sometimes a four-and-a-half pack’. The irony in this is quite interesting, considering that he is one of them, a symbol of fitness in present-day media. The actor explained, that though many point out the fact that his six-pack is imperfect, they do not know the actual reason why it is the way it is.

He then explained that the reason for this is because of an extremely serious injury that happened to him during a wrestling match, that resulted in the way his body looks now.

After hearing this, Emily Blunt was extremely upset. The reason for this was just how invasive and route this question was, which is something that would make anyone else upset too. The actress came to his defense, stating that it is not his fault that he looks the way that he looks, nor is it anyone else’s business.

It’s not his fault, guys… what’s wrong with your abs! Where are your abs, you know!?”

She then turns the question on to the people who were seeking answers as to why someone else’s body is ‘imperfect’. She asked them where their abs were, trying to point out the hypocrisy and irony of the question, how the majority of the people who criticize Dwayne Johnson for the way that he looks, are people who wish to look like him.
