The Marvel flick has recently got a lot of hype for the potential involvement of pop star Taylor Swift in the role of Dazzler. While director Shawn Levy added even more intrigue to this speculation through his comments, the other big news coming in is the casting of Harry Potter star Natalia Tena who will play a pivotal role in the film.

Natalia Tena Will Reportedly Portray X-23 In Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3 which is officially going by title Deadpool and Wolverine, will probably be the summer blockbuster that most Marvel buffs are desperately waiting for. The film which has been in the making for a while, was plagued by scheduling problems owing to the Actors Strike, which has further added to its hype ahead of its release in July.

Expectedly, the two superstars namely Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman who play the titular characters, will be the biggest motivating factors to watch the film. Apart from their presence, the movie has also been teasing viewers regarding the involvement of various other superheroes from the franchise including a number of X-Men characters.

One of the speculations that has been causing a massive flutter on social media is the rumored entry of mega-pop star Taylor Swift as the mutant Dazzler. Director Shawn Levy also seemed to be playing along with these speculations when he added more fuel to the fire with his comments on Swift’s involvement to Entertainment Tonight.

“That is hardly confirmed nor denied in this interview. What can I say? I think intrigue is fun.”

While Levy’s playful responses are making fans scratch their heads even more, a big piece of information that has reportedly been confirmed regarding Deadpool 3 is the casting of Natalia Tena who is a recognizable face for her roles in the Harry Potter films and Game Of Thrones.

The British actor and musician who played Nymphadora Tonks in the J.K.Rowling adaptations, is set to portray the older version of Laura Kinney and a variant of her avatar X-23 in the Marvel film, according to a report in Nexus Point News.

This information comes a few months after industry insider Daniel Richtman first broke the news about Tena’s potential presence in a Marvel project through his Patreon handle (via Nexus Point News).

X-23 was first seen in Jackman’s Logan and was played by young star Dafne Keen whose performance became a big hit with fans. While many Marvel connoisseurs are wondering if Keen could also be part of Deadpool 3, the article states that sources have indicated the possibility of the actor reprising her role in the film.

This means that there is a definite chance of seeing both variants of X-23 on screen. In addition, if the Taylor Swift rumors turn out to be true, there is nothing stopping Deadpool 3 from ruling the box office this summer.

Deadpool 3 Trailer Reveals That X-Men’s Pyro Is Back

Deadpool 3 has been creating major hype by making fans fervently speculate on which important characters from the Marvel franchise could be part of the narrative. The trailer of the film which was released during Super Bowl Sunday with its official title Deadpool and Wolverine, revealed the presence of a pivotal character from the X-Men franchise.

Aaron Stanford
Aaron Stanford will reprise his role as Pyro in Deadpool 3

While the trailer expectedly gave nothing away in terms of the story, hawk-eyed fans were treated to a fleeting glimpse of X-Men villain Pyro played by Aaron Stanford who was earlier part of 2003’s X2 and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand.

The hot-headed mutant’s presence could indicate that he may be one of the members of The Resistance that Reynolds’ character could lock horns with in the film. But Stanford who returns to reprise the role, teased audiences a few days before the trailer drop by playing his cards close to his chest.

In an interview with The Direct during the promotion of his new film Finestkind, Stanford was asked if he would be interested in playing Pyro in the MCU. The actor was cleverly non-committal at the time and revealed nothing by saying,

“I’d have to think about it. You know, it’s a character that, I’ve been there and done that. I quite enjoyed it. And I still have many, many fond memories and a lot of lasting friendships from those experiences… I don’t know, man. It’s an intriguing question. I would have to consider it.”

While Pyro’s presence has already been confirmed through the trailer, the nature of his role has still not been elaborated upon by the franchise.
