The trouble for Johnny Depp does not seem to be getting over. After his much-publicized legal troubles with ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor is yet again in deep waters after one co-star called him out for allegedly being abusive on set. Actress Lola Glaudini starred along with Depp in the 2001 movie, Blow.
During a recent appearance on a podcast, she made such claims regarding Depp being verbally abusive to her and not offering her a real apology afterward. While there haven’t been any remarks from either the studio, director, or Depp himself, fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean star rushed to defend him.
Lola Glaudini Accuses Johnny Depp of Being Verbally Abusive
Johnny Depp, like any other elite Hollywood star, has had his fair share of controversies. But things seem to have gotten worse for the actor after his lawsuit with ex-wife Amber Heard. While battling fan hate and criticism is one thing, having controversies one after the other is what makes it even worse (see Medium).
And now, to make matters much worse, one of his co-stars, nearly 24 years after starring with him, has accused him of being verbally abusive on set. Lola Glaudini starred with the actor in the drug cartel movie Blow.
While on the Powerful Truth Angels podcast, Glaudini revealed how during one of the scenes featuring Depp’s long monologue, she and another actress were told by the director Ted Demme to start laughing when the actor says a particular word.
And so she did, but right after Demme called cut, Depp came over to her and allegedly started hurling abuses.
“Johnny Depp… comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face. And I’m in a bikini, on the ground, like this. And he comes over and he goes, ‘Who the f**k do you think you are? Who the f**k do you think you are? Shut the f**k up. I’m out here, and I’m trying to f**kin’ say my lines, and you’re f**kin’ pulling focus, you f**king idiot!”
While she went on to state what Depp allegedly said to her, the actress revealed that the incident came back to her while she was watching the Depp-Amber lawsuit.
Fans Defend Johnny Depp From Lola Glaudini
Lola Glaudini, while sharing her horrendous experience, also stated how she was close to crying while Johnny Depp went on to allegedly verbally abuse her. Stating that he only later on offered a no-apology-apology, Glaudini remarked how for hours the people on set ignored her and not even Demme defended her.
As soon as the clip went viral on the internet, fans of the actor started defending him and calling the Criminal Minds star a liar.
I was being unprofessional and Johnny Depp went off on me 😭

Why don't you tell the whole story,Kara! How he apologized to her afterwards the whole thing is explained. Yet, you're only telling part of it. Who is she anyway never heard of her? Why didn't she speak up years ago? Her story doesn't match what thousands of people said about him

After more than 20 years now, she has decided to speak against Johnny!? Where was she before this? Who is she? How much did she get paid to say these words?
After all this time, how exactly she says each word! it seems like she read what she had to say a minute ago ! 😭🤣— 🪶 only JD (@onlyjohnnyd) March 15, 2024
Depp has worked in the industry for four decades and worked with thousands of people. So many of them have relayed their positive experiences of working with him. While only two claim differently. One was abusive to a homeless person. I bet there is another side to this story too

Scorned. He rejected her. She's bitter and an attention seeker. 22 years later, oh come on, try harder.

"Exact words"
I thought that's plain proof that the lying, talentless, abusive actress-impersonator stole another person's story…— ALT (@AlbertTseng8) March 15, 2024
While fans are busy deciding and fighting amongst themselves about whether such an incident took place or not, there hasn’t been any other comment from the cast and crew of the movie despite Glaudini’s interview being over more than a month old.
