John Krasinski’s Role In The Office Backfired On Him With His Daughters

John Krasinski’s big claim to fame in Hollywood was his role in the hit series, The Office. Through his character Jim Halpert who was an ordinary guy holding a 9 to 5 job, Krasinski endeared himself to the audiences with his relatable persona so much so that he was recognized by the name of his character by people on the streets. Funnily, his fame backfired on him with his two daughters who mistook his role in The Office for being his real job.

Speaking to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the star revealed a hilarious incident involving his daughter about his profession, after an encounter with a fan who recognized him from The Office. When Krasinski denied the young girl’s claims that the man was his colleague, she said,

Why are you lying to me? … He just said he knows you from the office?’”

The Jack Ryan actor further revealed that his predicament was heightened by the fact that his wife Emily Blunt was considered by their daughters as having the coolest job owing to her appearance in Mary Poppins. Krasinski jokingly confessed that his children believed Blunt married him out of pity.

John Krasinski Believes He Won The Lottery By Marrying Emily Blunt

Hollywood stars John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have found the perfect balance together by thriving in their careers while also nurturing a strong relationship as spouses. After 12 years and 2 kids together, the couple seems to have perfected the art of marriage. Krasinski, who has been an ardent admirer of Blunt even before being romantically involved with her, spoke to Parade about the secret behind their successful relationship. The actor said,

“I wouldn’t be anywhere in my life without her. On a daily basis—but certainly career-wise—as a dad, she pushes me to be better every single day at everything I do. I look forward to the next day ‘cause I know it’ll be better than the one before”.
