Will Smith Unwinds Offshore Amidst Marriage Drama

The revelation from Jada Pinkett Smith that Will Smith and the Madagascar Star have been separated for years reasonably took the internet by storm. And while fans were waiting to see Smith’s side of the story, the actor doesn’t seem much interested in stirring the pot. Taking to Instagram, the Oscar Winning actor shared a post of him relaxing in his boat, with the caption, “Notifications off”, with Smith saying: “Fun fact about me – I can take a nap almost anywhere.”

Shortly after posting the reel, replying to Smith’s solo trip, the actor’s estranged wife Jada Pinkett Smith commented with some laughing emojis, implying that the two might be on the same page.

Apart from enjoying his time alone offshore, the Suicide Squad Star did react to Pinkett’s memoir Worthy, which takes a deeper dive into their marriage. In an email to The New York Times, the Oscar winner explained that the book “kind of woke him up” as he sang praises for the 52-year-old actress. He expressed that she has “lived a life more on the edge than he had realized” and is more clever, resilient, and compassionate than he ever gave her credit for. He further wrote,

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in,” Smith wrote. “And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
