Hulk is one character that has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe long before some of other the core characters were introduced to the franchise. The Incredible Hulk was a film that came out in 2008, the same year as Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, and two years before Chris Evans’ Captain America: The First Avenger,
However, it is important to remember that Edward Norton first played this character before Mark Ruffalo replaced him after only one appearance. Since The Avengers, the character has been played by the Poor Things actor, who has done an exceptional job. Still, Ruffalo has not managed to get his own project, starring in Avengers and Thor films during his time in the franchise, and most recently, playing a side character in She-Hulk.
It would seem, however, that the prayers fans have been putting out have finally been answered. Could Ruffalo finally get an opportunity to star in an MCU film as the main character?
Could The Hulk Be Getting His Own Film?
The Hulk is a character that fans have been desperately wanting to see in his own, solo project, ever since we saw Mark Ruffalo take over the role in The Avengers. An extremely reliable source, Daniel Richtman, recently suggested something that will make fans go crazy. He revealed, on Twitter, that he can confirm that Ruffalo’s Hulk will be getting his own film.
“There will be a Hulk movie I’m sure of it now”
This could mean a number of things, starting with what exactly the film could showcase. Additionally, another question that arises is what version of the Hulk would be seen in such a movie. It is a well-known fact that there are various versions of the character, with Smart or Professor Hulk being one of them. The reaction that the news has gotten is particularly positive, considering just how much the film has been wanted and anticipated.

Fans Are Ecstatic About This Possibility
As soon as the news hit the internet, fans became extremely excited, with many going onto Twitter to express their feelings on the matter. A majority of the fans were concerned about which version of the Hulk would feature in the film. Fans generally do not want to see the Professor version of Mark Ruffalo’s character, with many wanting World War Hulk. This is a character that is certainly one of the most powerful versions of the Hulk, known for causing the tectonic plates by simply walking.

Some mentioned that the news made sense, considering only a few films from the sixth phase of the MCU have been announced. One fan brought up the fact that it could, perhaps, have something to do with Skarr, the son of Hulk, who was teased in She-Hulk. Some even added that they did not want the film to feature a comedic take on his character, making him a lot more serious so that audiences take him more seriously.
