Given that many characters enjoyed their spotlight over the eight seasons, Jason Momoa‘s Khal Drogo, for sure, left a grave impact on the audiences. While the Aquaman star did his best to portray the formidable Dothraki warlord in full glory, he was not really happy with the things that his character did to Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen.

When asked about his opinions on the treatment of women in the R-rated show, he told a New York Times interview,

“But my job was to play something like that, and it’s not a nice thing, and it’s what that character was. It’s not my job to go, ‘Would I not do it?’ I’ve never really been questioned about ‘Do you regret playing a role?’ We’ll put it this way: I already did it. Not doing it again.”

From his statement, it’s clear that he would carefully consider before taking such a role, but maintained his stance of portraying the character to its best. His performance was extremely remarkable, which contributed to catapulting him to fame. Whereas, his co-star feels grateful for sharing the intimate scenes with the Fast X actor

She has nothing but positive words for her co-star as she added, “He was so kind and considerate and cared about me as a human being.”

Despite the complex on-screen relationship, Momoa’s genuine concern reached the Terminator Genisys star’s heart. She has huge respect for him. While the duo worked together only in the first season, Clarke went on to appear throughout all eight seasons, portraying her iconic character.
