Emily Rudd is an avid One Piece fan. She is up to date with the manga and anime. One of the dreams came true after she got to meet Eiichiro Oda. Oda sensei handpicked the actors, and they were spot on. After watching her on screen, fans embraced the fact that she absolutely perfected the character. She is not only Nami on screen but also possesses a few characteristics of the cat burglar in real life.

During an interview with GamesRadar+, she was asked who the strongest member of the Straw Hat is. To this, she asked whether she was allowed to have two answers, and the interviewer agreed. Emily Rudd said,

“Thank you! OK, if I’m talking current, only one of the Straw Hats is one of the Four Emperors, so. [long pause] And I’m not gonna say who, just in case. But if I have to talk about our crew, I’m going to say Nami, because she’s the boss, like we said. Who controls the money? Who navigates the ship? You can’t get anywhere without her and you can’t buy anything without her, like, you’re stuck, I’m sorry.”

Rudd clearly believes Nami to be the strongest member of the Straw Hats since she is in charge of all the money and expenditure. If they want to do something or buy something, the crew has to get permission from her, and she will give the required amount of berries. Moreover, she is the navigator. Without her, the entire crew would be lost in the vast seas.

One Piece Fandom Also Believes Nami To Be The Strongest

After watching One Piece for more than 25 years, the fans believe Nami to be the strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Nami has perfected the ‘Fist of Love’ and seems to gravely injure the Monster Trio if they do something irritating. Even Armament Haki and Conqueror’s Haki are not enough to protect them from Nami’s attacks. Eiichiro Oda showed it in his magnum opus.

While Netflix’s One Piece Live Action is yet to showcase this side of Nami, it would be great to see Emily Rudd injuring Monkey D. Luffy. Rudd is the perfect cast to live-action Nami, and since she is familiar with the character, she knows all the minute details about the characters. The ‘Strongest Member’ of the Straw Hat Pirates will return in One Piece Live Action season 2.

With Alabasta arc said to be a part of the upcoming season, the fans might get a glimpse of her fighting against the members of the Baroque Works. Even before the fight begins, she has to guide the entire crew to the destiny. None could have done it without Nami, and rightly so, real-life Nami is full of praise for anime Nami.

One Piece Live Action is available on Netflix.
