Rising to prominence after The Legend of Korra, Zaheer quickly managed to establish himself as one of the most compelling and memorable antagonists of the series, leaving a lasting impact on the memories of its viewers. Throughout the series, the character has impressed fans with his intelligence and charisma as a leader, inspiring his followers to follow him with unfaltering loyalty.
However, some fans debate how Zaheer was a prodigy and how his airbending prowess set him apart and put him in a league of his own. Naturally, these fans ardently believe, that due to his combat prowess, and unparalleled skill and mastery over the element make him better than Aang. Nevertheless, a fan has come forward stating the facts and presenting a convincing theory that is not too far from the truth.
Avatar Fan Fact Checks Delusional Viewers Believing Zaheer Would Body Aang in a 1v1
In the Avatar universe both, Aang and Zaheer stand tall as the towering figures, who possess an innate connection to the Air element. Their proficiency with the element is due to their deep understanding of their Air Nomad culture, giving them unrivaled offensive and defensive maneuvers in combat.
Both Aang and Zaheer are part of different animated shows, where the former is from Avatar The Last Airbender, and the latter is a part of The Legend of Korra. Since both the protagonists and antagonists are part of the same universe, some fans believe that in a battle between Zaheer vs Aang, the former would lay waste to his airbending opponent.
While everyone had their opinion, a fan decided to spit facts to silence the whole Aang vs Zaheer debate as they posted on the subreddit of the show (r/TheLastAirbender). The fan stated how some viewers of the show “can’t seem to understand difference between an amateur and a master.” The fan gave an example of how the antagonist was tasting defeat each time he faced Tenzin, the son of Avatar Aang.
The son of the Avatar would often counter the leader of the Red Lotus, with swift and precise movement, demonstrating the elegance of airbending as a defensive element. To make things crystal clear, the fan pointed out “Aang was a master at 12. you all still think zaheer had any chance?”
The facts were there and it was quite convincing as the Reddit user did not use any bizarre logic, which made the fans question its authenticity. As a result, a lot of fans agreed and added to the debate.
Avatar Fans Comment on Aang Vs Zaheer
As the Reddit user decided to break the delusion of certain fans, who believed that Zaheer, the leader of the Red Lotus would be a formidable opponent to the Avatar. However, upon presenting all the facts in front of the viewers of the show, those viewers have gone missing. As a result, fans on the subreddit commented how Aang would have defeated the antagonist faster than one can blink.

Nevertheless, this does not change the fact that the antagonist had outstanding prowess as an Airbender, and though he could not defeat his opponents in a 1v1, he was a great addition to the show. Majorly because of his weighing presence and belief in his cause with steadfast determination, added to his mystique and allure as a villain of the 2012 show.
The Legend of Korra can be streamed on Netflix.
