Developers are finally doing something to make Call of Duty fans happy. Alongside the rumors of Zombies being a part of the next CoD game, players are going to see the return of a beloved map in Warzone Season 3. The news will be welcomed by most, as the game has been annoying fans for quite some time.
Developers have been adding a ton of content, focusing more on collaboration than gameplay. Unlike the original Modern Warfare series, the recent game in its reboot was a huge disappointment. The winds may have been in Activision’s favor for a long time, but the company doesn’t seem to have utilized the advantage to turn the tides in its favor.
Things Are Seemingly Getting Back on Track
Call of Duty has finally released the trailer for the latest season of Warzone on its official YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) handles, which combined has over 400K views, at the time of writing.
An X user recently shared some images that reportedly were found in data-mined files and showcased a remastered version of Rebirth Island. It looks like the leakers were on point.

The official CoD account then released an image of the map, with various locations. This includes Dock, Industry, Prison, and more. “Where are we dropping?,” read the post.

Alongside the map, the players are likely to see new swimming features, as well as a new sniper rifle that was teased in the trailer. A majority of Points of Interest (POI) remain the same, and only a few changes have been made to the base map, as the players witnessed previously.
Call of Duty Already Teased The Map’s Return Way Before The Leakers
Players will likely see some new ways to explore the map, like working their way around underwater tunnels, as can be seen in the trailer’s beginning. Moreover, leaks suggest that players will get to see new weapons taken straight out of Advanced Warfare. The game’s multiplayer was praised by critics upon its launch, along with the game’s mechanics.
Interestingly, those staying abreast of the latest Call of Duty buzz are less likely to be surprised by the return of Rebirth Island. The team already teased this in a way when they revealed that CoD: Warzone Mobile will bring Verdansk and Rebirth Island back. As the fans were told it would share cross-progression, many might have deduced the beloved map’s return.
Rebirth Island will be available on April 3, 2024, but fans can experience the map on the game’s mobile version, launched recently by Activision. However, they might need some high-end devices. Players across the globe have complained about the persisting issues they’ve encountered since the game’s release.
