Whether it’s the role of Buddy in  Edgar Wright‘s Baby Driver or Cyclone in one of the biggest films of 2022, Top Gun: Maverick, Jon Hamm is always one of the most attractive people on set. Similar was the case during his stint in his breakthrough show, Mad Men, which launched Hamm and his costar Christina Hendricks’ career to prominence.

But while Hamm was the most good-looking guy on the set, whose beauty left his costars awestruck, Hendricks’ beauty too became too much to handle for the crew on the set of Mad Men.

Speaking about his experience with the two actors of the acclaimed ABC show, John Slattery recalled the impact of their looks on the rest of the crew. Playing the impossibly good-looking Don Draper in the drama, when Jon Hamm entered the room, Slattery recalled everyone would go “catatonic” and mess up their lines.

Similar was the case with Christina Hendricks, who played Joan Harris, as the Spotlight star recounted people on set would “sh-t themselves” whenever Hendricks would walk into the room.

He told The Independent:

“When Hamm walked into a room in that get-up, people would just go catatonic… Guest stars would sometimes walk up to him and their lines would go right out of their heads. They just wouldn’t know what to do. It happened on more than one occasion.” He continued “Christina Hendricks would walk into the room and people would s*** themselves – it was amazing.”

It’s not hard to see why everyone was awestruck by the two actors’ beauty, who also didn’t drop the ball when it came to their performances.

Jon Hamm on the Possibility of More Mad Men

After almost a decade since the show concluded, Hamm reunited with Christina Hendricks in the new animated series Grimsburg. Joining Entertainment Tonight to discuss about his show, the Top Gun 2 star also opened up about the possibility of a revival of the acclaimed ABC show in the future.

The actor stressed that it’s completely up to showrunner Matthew Weiner, but considering how the industry works, Hamm didn’t shut down the possibility.

“It’s been a long time. It’s almost 20 years since Mad Men started, which is crazy, Which means I’m getting older too… “[Matthew Weiner] have to be on board with any kind of reunion… I’ve been around this business long enough to never say never. So, I will never say never. But we’ll see.”

Although time will tell if the extremely good-looking duo of Hendricks and Hamm will once again get the opportunity to relive the iconic characters, as of now, fans can only hope and wait.

Mad Men is available to stream on Apple TV.
