A Helldivers 2 fan took to the game’s subreddit and shared some personal messages she received from her boyfriend as he consistently gets deployed to the battlefield to fight against the Terminids and Automatons.

Letting the community know about the sacrifices that these players are making on the frontlines on a daily basis, the Reddit user wrote that “these are the type of texts” she gets from her significant other when he is “deployed to help liberate a planet.”
The messages between the two start off with a regular conversation, until the boyfriend informs her that a “new major order just came down from high command, huge offensive on the western front has started to take the Draco sector,” and other Helldivers 2 players would probably agree that one doesn’t refuse to take on such an important responsibility.
The texts were sent during the latest Major Order that Arrowhead unleashed on the Helldivers 2 community, which required players to liberate five planets in a matter of three days, leading to players believing that the developer intentionally set them up for failure. After an “Ok” by the Reddit user, the boyfriend apologized and said that he knows he has been deployed too many times recently, but his sacrifice is necessary for the greater good.

Justifying his apology regarding the number of Helldivers 2 deployments he has been on lately, the boyfriend explained how he doesn’t want “to start a family in a world full of termanids and automatons.”
Signing off with a wholesome letter, Pvt. Parts (the boyfriend’s gamer tag) told his “love” that he was on the planet Estanu in the Draco sector and taking on the enemy forces on the frontlines.
“I yearn to one day clean myself of this bile, oil, and blood these disgusting creatures secrete and feel your warm embrace again,” wrote the hero before heading off to battle again.
