The Special Guest Referees is making a return for his year’s WWE 2K24. A feature that was last seen a decade ago allows players to control another wrestler as they take on the role of the match official which will let them dictate the course of the match.

It won’t be the only returning feature, the return of special matches like the Casket, Ambulance, and Gauntlet matches. This is the right approach in terms of using something from the past and not milking it by re-releasing or remastering it, integration is far better than remaking It is great to see developers reminisce the success of previous installments and identify which parts work and improve upon it.
2K also capitalized this entry’s Showcase mode with nostalgia, taking a look back at 40 years’ worth of history and iconic moments. This is a strategic move that allows a much larger variety of gameplay for this year’s entry, which will give players much more to do this time around. Wrestling is a form of art and storytelling which is what these match types in the game, being able to trap opponents in caskets is a fun way to execute matches.
The hype for WWE 2K24 has been exceptionally high, the series can often be looked over and passed over as a recurring game with yearly additions and improvements in the quality of life but this particular game could be an actual game changer. Not to mention being able to play 200+ characters which gives players a wide array of wrestlers to choose from when they play these returning game modes.
WWE 2K24 Could be the Ultimate WWE Installment Yet
No matter how crazy the ideas being hatched by developers, they could never go wrong with utilizing the classics. Adding old game modes, wrestlers and mechanics is an incredibly smart move to gain momentum and coverage for wrestling fans all over the world.
The ultimate dream of a loyal WWE fan is seeing all the legendary icons with a coat of fresh paint and graphical improvements along with old special matches that were spent hours on without end, and that dream is now a reality.
The overall goal of this year’s entry is to give the best wrestling experience through video game consoles which is why it will be launching across all platforms with the exception of the Nintendo Switch.
Combining a decade-old game mode and taking from recent installments such as WarGames and MyGM mode which was also loved by fans putting the game out in the best condition possible and right on time. WWE 2K24 will shape up to be the ultimate wrestling experience.
