In his post, Tony Todd wrote that he had completed two “major projects” with the legendary voice actor behind Peter Parker. The mystery is what second title the actor might be alluding to.

Tony Todd, the voice of Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, wished Peter Parker actor Yuri Lowenthal a happy birthday on X on Tuesday. In his message, Todd mentioned how they had completed “2 major projects,” with more to come.

At first sight, this post might not seem unusual. However, June 18 is not actually Lowenthal’s birthday, as it already passed months ago on March 5. It is unclear why he chose yesterday to post this.

On top of that, we only know of one project the two have worked on together, and that’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. What could the second “major project” be?

While fans are scratching their heads, many seem to assume that Todd is referring to a Venom-related project – and they might be onto something.

He could potentially be alluding to the Venom spin-off game. While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, we have learned about its existence after a huge data leak at Insomniac Games last year.

Last year’s leak revealed that Insomniac is working on a Venom game that is allegedly set to launch in 2025. In his post, Todd wrote “2 projects down,” implying that they had already completed their work on both titles.

If it’s still scheduled for next year, it is likely that the voice recordings would be done by now. Could they have just finished their recordings, leading Todd to wish Lowenthal a “happy birthday” as a way to celebrate the completion?

Hold your symbiote horses, though, because he could also be referring to an entirely different game: the upcoming hero shooter Marvel Rivals.

Lowenthal confirmed in March that he will reprise his role as Spider-Man in the upcoming multiplayer title. While no other voice actors have officially been confirmed yet, we do know that Venom will be part of the game, and it is possible that Todd will voice the symbiote once again.

The title completed its alpha test last month, with a closed beta planned for July, Todd might be referring to the shooter instead of the Venom spin-off. We will have to wait for an official announcement to find out.
